About Ofry

Ofry was born on April 17, 2000.
A second son to the Ziv family.
Brother to Yiftach, Mika and Neta.
He lived and grew up in Koranit.
Attended kindergarten in the village.
He studied at the elementary school of Har Shekheniya and then graduated to the junior high school in Misgav.
In ninth grade, Ofry decided to transfer to Waldorf Harduf High School (Anthroposophic school).
The transition to anthroposophic education opened up a gateway for Ofry to explore various areas of creativity and self-expression.
Over the years, he honed these skills and abilities – (painting, sculpting, jewelry making, acting, photography and sewing.)
After finishing high school and before his enlistment, Ofry travelled both in Israel and abroad.
He joined the military as a combat support soldier, serving for three years, during which he demonstrated his unique abilities.
After his discharge, Ofry embarked on a journey along the Israel National Trail (together with Shachar).
Upon completing the trail, he joined a delegation for “Ten”, an educational project in Ghana, Africa.
Ofry stayed in Ghana for about three months and then continued to travel in Africa for another four months before returning to Israel.
In July, he returned to Israel, settled in Haifa, and began preparing for industrial design studies.
Ofry maintained a busy and varied schedule. Besides preparing his portfolio, he continued to develop and studied painting, volunteered with the “Eye Contact” foundation guiding visually impaired runners, worked in a restaurant in Haifa’s Talpiot market, and led a vibrant social life.
With the outbreak of the war in October, Ofry volunteered in various sewing workshops across the country and worked on improving combat equipment.
Ofry passed away due to suicidality on December 31, 2023.
